Apply for Funding
Our Lady of the Prairies Foundation provides grants in the following areas of interest:
- Spiritual
- Educational
- Social
- Healing
- Environmental
Grants are available to charities or organizations with registered charity numbers. Preference is given to projects that:
- empower people
- strive to be inclusive
- avoid duplicating similar services
- set measurable objectives, which will be evaluated
- plan for future funding needs
The Foundation generally awards grants of up to $10,000.00 but, requests for larger amounts will be considered. We prefer not to make long term commitments. Grants are primarily within Saskatchewan and Canada. The Foundation shall use the amount of its funds required to be distributed in compliance with the Income Tax Act with no more than 25% to be spent outside Saskatchewan.
Application deadlines are May 1 and October 1 with grants being disbursed twice a year in June and November respectively. Applicants are required to fill out the online application form, ensuring the requested additional information is attached. The terms of the application must be agreed upon by an authorized signing officer.
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application. Successful grant applicants are asked to sign a Grants Agreement before receiving a cheque and are expected to evaluate the projects objectives and submit a final report to Our Lady of the Prairies Foundation within six months of the project completion.
All other forms of submission will not be accepted. Incomplete applications or applications received after the deadline will not be processed. The Foundation does not award grants to:
- individuals
- deficits
- political organizations
- organizations that are wholly government funded
- retroactively to projects that have already taken place
Our Lady’s application deadlines are May 1 and Oct.1 every year.
